CEO of Shahid Tondgoyan Petrochemical Company, Seyed Reza Ghasemi Shahri, emphasized the firm determination of the company to become a clean and environmentally friendly company. At the commissioning ceremony of the PTA2 plant’s cooling tower water purification and recycling project, he considered environmental protection one of the priorities of the petrochemical industry and announced that this project is part of Shahid Tondgoyan Petrochemical’s continuous efforts to solve the environmental problems of the region.
This project is designed with the aim of optimally using water resources and managing its consumption, especially in conditions of water shortage in the summer season. Ghasemi Shahri pointed out the utilization of modern technologies in this project and added that these measures will help to meet the shortage of RO water in cooling towers in the hot seasons and save water consumption.
The Bluedon Cooling project, as an environmental project, began on November 1, 2020 and, after continuous efforts, was put into operation in November 2024. These measures demonstrate Shahid Tondgoyan Petrochemical’s determination to improve environmental conditions and protect natural resources in the Mahshahr Special Economic Zone.
