The start of advanced environmental management projects in Arvand Petrochemical
Saturated water treatment and recycling project has recently been started in Arvand Petrochemical Complex. This project, which was launched with the aim of reducing environmental pollutants, increasing production efficiency and sustainable improvement of effluent and industrial waste management, was launched with the presence of senior managers of the Environmental Protection Organization and local officials.
Extensive support for environmental projects
In the ceremony that was held on the morning of Wednesday 23 November 1403, the Deputy Minister of Marine Environment and Wetlands of the country, the General Director of Environmental Protection of Khuzestan Province, the Chief Justice of Bandar Imam Khomeini and other petrochemical experts and managers of the Special Economic Zone were present to start the operation of this innovative project.
A bright vision of the green future of Arvand Petrochemical
The CEO of Arvand Petrochemical, referring to the company’s new environmental transformation, said: “These projects will open a new path towards improving environmental management and will make Arvand Petrochemical a pioneer of the green industry in the country.” He also added that more than 20 new projects have been designed with the aim of improving the environment, and most of them are expected to be operational by the end of 1404.

Dr. Lahijanzadeh, Deputy Minister of Marine Environment and Wetlands of the country, appreciated Arvand Petrochemical’s outstanding actions and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and support to achieve high environmental standards.
Local and judicial support of environmental actions
The Director General of Environmental Protection of Khuzestan also pointed out the 80 cubic meter capacity of Senterit Water Treatment Plant for wastewater and emphasized that this project is a proof of the efforts of Arvand Petrochemical experts. In this regard, Chief Justice of Bandar Imam Khomeini expressed his cooperation to remove the obstacles by announcing the full support of the judicial system to accelerate the implementation of environmental projects.
At the end of the ceremony, the delegation members visited other key projects such as the construction of the second filter press and the fourth sludge tank, which were designed with advanced technologies. It is expected that these projects will be fully operational by the end of 1404.
